Corporate reaction to the Q4 downturn was lightning fast, in my view, because corporations are getting wired and able to react to real-time information well considering how he believes a strong secular economic rebound is just around the corner, corporations should be lightning fast in their rehiring of workers. after all, they are all wired and able to react quickly to this big boom which is just about upon us, right? yet they are laying off even more people--not hiring, so his theory doesn't jive.
