Oddly enough a lot of the middle management are losing their jobs at the USPS. Some serious consolidation of regional offices in order to cut costs. Where I see their greatest failure is in their dictating one-size-fits-all policies for such a large enterprise. They won't listen to our input. Local offices could tell them what would make us more efficient, and what would let us provide better service, but they won't hear of it. A lot of times we end up working around their idiotic directives in order to move the mail as best we can. What we need is for a lot more of them to lose their jobs, then at least they wouldn't get in our way and prevent us from working efficiently.
