Hi CB, <<Re: recovery. Recovery from what? All we've had so far is reversion to the mean. If this is as bad as it gets, name your firstborn son after Greenspan.-vbg->>

I have made the point that events may progress to dramatically worse state. So far, at least on this thread, we do not actually have any first hand report of friends, relatives or neighbors hitting the unemployment or bankruptcy rocks. Should I begin to think that all the bad news is an illusion?

Reverse to the mean is easily survivable, although it doesn't say much about equity investments over the next few year.

Hi CB, OT: I use Timberland wallet, but the real one made in China, as oppose to the fake one also made in China:0)

My accessories - computers of various sorts and watches of one sort, and every so often, manly tools ... oh, you know, such as a belt carried knife for either above-water use or sub-surface life preservation (love the feel of those Titanium Beta alloy geewhiz bang slicers strapped to my leg).

Got to go now to the airport.
