Electronics contract manufacturer Sanmina Corp (SNAM) has agreed to acquire larger rival SCI Systems (SCI) for almost $6 billion, the companies announced. Sanmina will pay $4.5 billion in stock and assume $1.4 billion in SCI debt. The merger creates the world's biggest electronics contract manufacturer with over $14 billion in sales and operations in over 20 countries, they said in a statement.
