Sanmina Agrees to Buy SCI Systems for About $6 Billion

San Jose, July 16 (Bloomberg) -- Sanmina Corp., a builder of electronic equipment, said it agreed to acquire SCI Systems Inc., another electronics contract manufacturer, for about $6 billion in stock and assumed debt.

The transaction values Huntsville, Alabama, based SCI at $30.11 per share, 20 percent more than SCI's closing share price of $25.17 on Friday, the companies said in a press release. ...
