I hope you are right, but I doubt it. The regime is based in violence and can only continue by means of violence. As long as the Communist Party enforces its monopoly on power, it will have to murder its own citizens. It is a deplorable situation.

I find it ironic that some on this board can criticize Bush and Texas for its lawful executions (by a trial by peers), while defending the Chinese regime which can put to death 1800 people in a matter of weeks.
