Some thoughts on the dollar that kinda mirror my own-

OT- After looking good at first- the okra has pulled it's usual stunt, and died on me. I think there's one plant that's still alive. It can't be the weather, because it's been warm and wet. Must be the soil?? May still have a chance on the tomatoes- they're still in the starter pots.

Europe is bleeding- I suspect we will today too.

Jim,

Interesting, in the relative distant past I recall where some bulls were saying that the strong U.S.DOLLAR would help the market set NEW HIGHs. Now we have some signficant firms saying that one of the reasons they are having difficulties is due to the strong U.S.DOLLAR - so what happened to the NEW HIGHS.

Jim, my contacts in international trade are still saying that they are not seeing any hint of a turnaround yet in TAIWAN. Keep in mind that they are not just looking at HiTECH goods but all types of cargoes, but they do watch the HiTECH stuff since that is the highest paying cargoes.
