If Ted acted like Clint Eastwood, he is OK in my book! Did he have an orangutan hanging out with him on the boat? <big grin>

I don't know who your cousin is and I am not sure I recall what he/she said.. or my response... but I will tell you two things... when people approach me and they are civil, mature, and not intruding on my privacy or that of my wife or children I am most cordial.

I will also tell you that on a cruise ship of 2 thousand passengers, imagine if each one came up to say hello and wanted to chat ... I don't call that a vacation and I am sure you wouldn't either. Furthermore. too many people ask inappropriate questions about my colleagues and their personal lives, want stock tips or specific comments about stocks. It grows very tiresome, very quickly. Sometimes it borders on rude and intrusive.

Those viewers/fellow passengers who stopped and simply said, "hi, enjoy your show... nice to see you" were always welcome and always got a cordial response.

Brad Pitt? Clint Eastwood? LOL! Hey let me tell the WORST part of my job is being recognized in public. It makes the 22 years of anonymity I had in radio seem very appealing. On the other hand, it also bears out CNBC's popularity and for that I am greatful.
