10:23 ET BEA Systems (BEAS) 23.92 -1.59 (-6.2%): Issue being impacted by note out of Salomon Smithy Barney suggesting that spending on enterprise software in Europe could be hurt by required conversions to the Euro and the slowing economy. Mentioned by name as companies with high exposure were BMC and BEAS, with exposure to Europe of 33% and 29%, respectively. Firm made some of the same points in a midday comment issued Friday.

Earnings are 8/14 after the bell, .09 expected.

This is from Briefing.com and is unconfirmed, so is subject to change, but will be somewhere in mid August.

Coleman again reconfirmed earnings expectations today, it was on the Dow Jones Real Time Newswire after 3 pm, but never made the mainstream newswires.
