Death squads never proven? After reports of a civilian massacre of 800 by military units in the village of El Mozote in El Salvador, Elliot Abrams testified before congress that it was all commie propaganda. It was later proven to have occurred at the hands of military units trained in the fine arts of guerilla warfare at places like Fort Bragg. Even Republican Senator Durenberger said at the time that Abrams was not to be trusted. Adm William Crowe even called Abrams a "snake."
