Despite X's impressive attempts to embarrass us into vegetarianism, I have resisted and last night made the best thing. I marinated tenderized round steak in a vinaigrette and then cooked it up in more dressing and chopped red onion. ANd then added blue cheese to the drippings, and made tortillas with the beef, sauce, and chopped tomatoes and shredded lettuce. And they were so good, or maybe I was just really hungry. I hadn't eaten anything since the KK donuts. I am going to have to reread the Stranger tonight. You were right. It's all gone. I read it too early. I read M. Butterfly last night. VERY strange and apparently based on a true story of a French diplomat who had a long affair with a Chinese actor and never realized she was a he. AND a spy.
