Yes, I hope it's not true. The information from SDWalks (see Milo's post) suggests that we will see first motherboard (and even PC systems!) much earlier but it remains to be seen if that's true. But I'll be the first to upgrade to an nForce motherboard if it holds the promises.

Given that I'm a frequent upgrader, I'm hoping XP flops; and ME is awful.

XP has already flopped for me because of the new DRM implementation for MP3 and WMA files. I don't like the product activation either. While I like the stability and easy interface a lot, I don't want Microsoft to invade my privacy and spy on me. And since Windows XP offers no real advantages over Windows 2000 (which I am using currently) that I am aware of, I'll postpone any upgrade.

XP almost can't flop. Its the next edition of the microsoft tax on computers. Almost all systems from the big computer companies will sooner or later come preloaded with it.
