maui dude:

"The market is not very logical, and you have no control over changing this. Maybe Intel will miss the earning and the stock wont go down as bad as you think. Maybe Intel will manage the bad news better. My point is, just dont be so convinced about Intels stock price in a short-term."

Appreciate your words of caution...No doubt the market is illogical at times...no perfect theory based upon my experience...but what could be more illogical than INTC at $30 while staring into the possibility of red ink for the first time in 15 years and future prospects tied to its P4 which, as far as I can tell is a dud! Sometimes one has to take a stand...and yes I remember all too well being blind-sided by AMD a week ago and AMD's precipitous decline from $30 to $20...AMD and INTC's profit trends have mirrored each other over the past 4 quarters and nothing in q2 suggests to me that the same won't again be the case...AMD came in $0.20 under the street and I think there is every possibility that so, too, will INTC...If so, perhaps INTC sees $20 on Wednesday as well, but no guarantees for certain...just like the odds of a significant negative correction in INTC on Wednesday...Nothing ventured, nothing gained...or (I hope not) lost!
