Hi Brookelise,

You've found my Achilles Heel. I always over-drive the markets. Short term blips based on whim, emotion and fad just haven't been calculable by my methodology. I reckon I need more time on video games before I can master the art of short attention span-ish.

Regarding the VIX, I'm wondering if there are so many traders who are aware of it that it has lost all of it's predictive value. At least a couple of my correspondents have suggested this is the case. Sort like Yogi Berra's line about the restaurant: "Oh, that place is too popular, no one goes there any more."

R.

<<Those confident of a rally should look at the Dow and VIX around the middle of last year, and at the VIX now.>>

What's the point, Brooke?
