What does the Klamath story have to do with the Bush energy gouging? Dams, irrigation and fish species extinction is another matter. A very difficult one. The story of water rights in the west is a long and violent one. Go see "Chinatown". These farmers may have a tragic story but they should have also seen it coming. Not enough water to go around for everyone. Wild rivers should not become irrigation ditches. If they start threatening salmon preservation they'll be stopped, as they should be. That's the law. Without laws we're not much of a country. And salmon preservation is an important issue. They're practically gone from the NW now. SO the last few should be protected. Maybe they can find a compromise which works. I hope so for the farmers' sakes.
