OT for the group, but I just wanted to update the group as I have been away for a couple of weeks and am a little down and out at the moment. A year ago some of you might remember when I made a post concerning a loss incurred at that time when a 19 year old family member was abducted while out for a bicycle ride in Bloomington, Indiana. In case anyone is interested, Tom Brokaw will run a segment on Jill and her parents Wednesday evening on the news. Jill's parents were also on Good Morning America last Friday. If you have time to watch it, it should be pretty interesting concerning abduction and how parents attempt to deal with it. On to other recent tragic news for me personally. I'm here for a funeral in Rapid City, SD where my 15 year nephew was brutally beaten in an unprovoked attack on the doorstep of his house by a 17 year old 'beast' last Wednesday evening. The head wounds were so severe that he died Saturday morning when the swelling cut off the blood circulation to the brain. I was in France on vacation with my wife and children at the time and we drove back to Vienna on Saturday so I could catch a flight Sunday to South Dakota. My sister and ex-husband have asked me to sing at the funeral. It might be the most difficult time I've ever had to open my mouth and try to utter a note. I'm going to hang my hat here for a week or two to help out with my parents, sister and other nephew. Thanks for any PM thoughts as our family works through yet another life altering occasion. BB
