That's anyone's guess. But there is no longer a question on when a congressional hearing on that topic will take place. Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet, announced Friday that a hearing on 3G services will be July 24 on Capitol Hill. No witness list has been set for the hearing titled "U.S. Deployment of Third Generation Wireless Services: When Will It Happen and Where Will It Happen?" --- Reminds me of the hearings on "innovative pionering technologies" in the early 90s, not that 96 was that bad either.
