3) It has been shown in "IMT-2000 CDMA Chip Rate Selection," T1P1 Harmonization Ad Hoc, 98-024, August 19, 1998, Portland, OR, that even with a difficult-to-realize, complex filter, the 4.096 Mcps rate signal does not meet the FCC out of band emission requirement for a 5 MHz deployment. A 129-tap FIR filter was assumed for the WCDMA signal. The cdma2000 signal can meet the FCC requirements by using a 48-tap filter.
