The laws of gravity still apply don't they? IMO this company's business model is as flawed as they come. Never profitable, claiming to turn a profit by year end, it's running on fumes. Why should dentists fork out $1250 up front for the Brite Smile secret formula when there are other products which are cheaper and don't take up 1 1/2 hrs of chair time? On the customer end, who in their right mind is gonna pay $500 for a very temporary teeth-whitening treatment? In a dental office no less! [One more visit to the dentist, no matter how noble the purpose, is no walk in the park - I don't care how white they can make your teeth!] As an example, my wife and I recently decided to have our teeth whitened. Since I starting drinking a mocha each morning my teeth had gone from pearly white to coffee stained in no time. We each paid $200. (in Newport Beach, CA). Our dentist took impressions and a week later we picked up the comfortable soft plastic gel containers. We put it in our mouths for 30 minutes a day, for one week. Voila! White teeth! Do it yourself at home is the answer. No costly procedures in a dentists' office, and the dentist loves this because BriteSmile takes up 1 1/2 hrs of his time which he could be spending on something that actually makes him money! The bottom line is BrightSmile (BSML) is a flash in the pan and I don't understand why the stock has been trading up on relatively heavy volume. It will probably rally into earnings on 7/30 and then slowly fizzle into oblivion by year's end with that buck/share of cash. A $400 million market cap? How now brown cow? I say they will be closing down the BSML Professional Centers faster than Michail Shadkin can short TIVO. Charlie
