Yikes, they tell themselves, if all this bad weather comes together, it's going to be one hell of a blow. Perhaps we will be lucky, we mariners of the global economy. Perhaps the tempests brewing over Argentina, Japan, Europe and the United States will lose their force and gradually dissipate -- and the sun will break through the clouds and calm will return to the financial seas. washingtonpost.com
