O'Brien, sure hope you are right...maybe we should call and talk to Michael Riccio, and the rest of the broadband staff....

Not having a broadband group makes no sense to most of us either.

The Company

InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSP) provides an integrated technology platform and suite of applications that enable partners to deliver consumer and commerce services across the Internet to any device over current and next-generation wireless, broadband and narrowband networks. The Company’s array of products includes consumer services, such as communication, entertainment, gaming and voice applications, as well as commerce services, including payments, promotions and shopping. Together, the InfoSpace platform and applications comprise a highly flexible and scalable end-to-end solution that can be rapidly deployed under a partner’s brand. InfoSpace's partners and affiliates include more than 3,200 Web sites and companies worldwide, including Verizon, AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Virgin Mobile, Intel, Lucent, Nortel, AOL, Microsoft, Lycos, National Discount Brokers and Bloomberg, among others.

Naveen Jain, chairman and chief executive officer, founded InfoSpace in March 1996 with the vision of delivering real world information anytime, anywhere, and on any device. Jain took InfoSpace public in December 1998.

Today, as the number of people accessing the Internet continues its torrid growth, so does the number of devices and access technologies people use to connect. Companies that once considered themselves providers of telephone, television, wireless communications or Internet services today are seizing the opportunity to become 'one stop' providers of commerce, communication, information and entertainment services for their customers. As a result, these companies find themselves competing more and more with one another to attract, retain and 'own' the customer. InfoSpace, a leading provider of integrated infrastructure technologies and services, allows these companies to achieve this by delivering value-added services and applications on a private-label basis. Offering these important services under a partner’s own brand, InfoSpace is directly responsible for building and preserving customer relationships, reducing churn rates and increasing subscriber stickiness.

Through InfoSpace's established relationships with global wireless carriers, regional bell operating companies, top merchant banks and leading Web sites, the company's mission is to build a services infrastructure that will fundamentally change the way people worldwide conduct commerce, access information, communicate and otherwise manage their lives at anytime from any device. In short, to turn every space into an InfoSpace.

InfoSpace Services

Wireless Services

InfoSpace's wireless services comprise the first global end-to-end private-label mobile Internet solution that is rapidly defining how people use and interact with information on wireless devices. These services include data and transaction services that users can access from anywhere on any device over any protocol or standard. InfoSpace's wireless services platform serves as the underlying infrastructure for wireless carriers, cable providers and device and equipment manufacturers to offer their customers the ability to conduct commerce, access information, communicate and otherwise manage their lives at anytime from any device.

InfoSpace is now working with leading wireless carriers worldwide, including Verizon Wireless, Cingular Wireless, AT&T Wireless, ALLTEL, VoiceStream, Virgin Mobile and Powertel, and device and equipment manufacturers such as Nortel Networks and Lucent Technologies.

InfoSpace wireless services include commerce services that allow users to find local merchants, comparison shop (users can simply enter a UPC code, part number, barcode or ISBN to shop for a specific product) and make purchases directly from their wireless device; communication services that enable users to send and receive email and instant messages from any device to any other; and personalized information services such as a fully integrated address book, calendar and to-do list and personalized, location-based information that facilitates managing day to day tasks and appointments.

InfoSpace is a true device, protocol and transport independent platform. InfoSpace supports SMS, WAP, CHTML, VXML (speech) and a variety of other protocols that may be proprietary to different devices enabling our partner's customers to access the same personalization and services across any device. The ability to adopt and offer enhanced flexibility to its partners makes InfoSpace the platform of choice for leading wireless and wireline service providers worldwide.

Wireline/Consumer Services

InfoSpace's broad range of wireline services helps its affiliates increase traffic, strengthen the value of their brand, and develop new ways to monetize their customer base. InfoSpace's affiliate network has grown to more than 3,200 Web sites.

InfoSpace's consumer services include transaction services that enable users to find local merchants, comparison shop among both online and offline retailers and service companies, receive electronic promotions and make purchases with a single click; communication services such as e-mail, instant messaging, multiplayer games, and chat and message boards; personal services such as fully integrated address book, calendar and to-do list and personalized, location-based information; and collaboration services such as real-time document sharing.

Merchant Services

The InfoSpace Merchant Services product suite enables merchants to leverage the wired and wireless Internet to establish a Web presence, promote their businesses, and succeed in conducting commerce through exposure to millions of participating consumers worldwide throughout the InfoSpace network. InfoSpace currently makes their merchant services available to more than 2 million merchants worldwide and has a broad distribution channel including all five regional Bell operating companies (RBOCS) and major financial institutions such as American Express and Bank of America.

According to the Kelsey Group, $3.6 trillion was transacted in the United States in 1999 through approximately 10 million merchants. By offering merchants the tools needed to promote their products and services, bring their businesses onto the Web as well as the distribution channels to drive customer traffic, the InfoSpace network enables merchants to leverage the power of the Internet to drive 'real world' transactions.

Broadband Services

InfoSpace's Broadband Services plans to deliver integrated, cross-platform broadband (DSL, 2.5/3G, Cable Modem, iTV, Satellite) services to customers worldwide. These services will include a comprehensive infrastructure services suite for businesses, and interactive TV services which combine broadcast programming with interactive applications for media companies and service providers.

InfoSpace has offices in the United States, Canada, Brazil, the United Kingdom and throughout Europe.
