Again, that is one assumption. Another would be that one would have to actually be there before an escape could take place. Or, on another note, what type of escape are we talking about? I think I've always viewed this verse as implying that true escape is to be found and counted as a sheep on the Day of Judgement rather than as a goat. As for the seven years, I see the Bible implying that the first 3.5 years(at least) will be a time of unparellelled prosperity, which will subvert many from faith in Jesus.
