Art, so far you haven't said anything I disagree with, seriously, you are bang-on. BUT: We the people on the Strictly Drilling thread are active managers in our portfolios, so we do take a shorter term view. We enjoy beating the Street. If the "Long Term" outlook is the only that mattered, then a simple index fund is all one would need, and I could go back to work shoveling snow for a living. My posts on psychology of the markets was just a contrasting, yet supplemental view of how I see things. Regards Frank P.
