Techie, the jdsu writedown may be pretty much priced in - it for sure is not a surprise. But numbers like that shock. When they come out and do the dirty dead it will drop the stock.

Perhaps. If it is priced in, then maybe would be a good chance to pick up some on any announcement. I might expect to see a quick spike and then recovery. (Still though, $40B ?)
