Relevancy
or
Replacement

This thread is a discussion about replacing God, period. In fact if you read the header, any God is fair game, Allah, God, Brahmin, Mephistopheles (in or out of running shoes). If you want to debate the merits of your particular belief, they are threads here for that. Chris Land, Jane Hafker, Santiago, Greg McRitchie and others are available for diatribes and large platters of self served tripe. Listen to this...

<<"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."

So, the God who made the world does not invest.">>

How can any reasonable person deal with this statement, there is no appeal to reason, no logic and no support for the conclusion. It is exactly like a proclamation by the Taliban, the only difference being that their proclamations of truth are much firmer and the penalty for disbelief in what they tell you is clear.

Perhaps we could trade Gods for awhile. The people who have no clue can trade with the people who know it all. That way we would have a working God at all times. We could avoid awaiting the arrival of a replacement God. I think we should get two Gods, one replacement and one spare.

Back to the topic: ...So, the God who made the world does not invest.

But he would certainly recommend it to us!

Luke 14:28 teaches wise money management:
"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it?"

Luke 16:9 tells us to make gobs of money:
"I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves"

You claim that Jesus wouldn't invest because He wouldn't need it. Well, does Bill Gates need it? And yet, he still invests...

Matt 16:30
And Lo, the buyers of Dell and Microsoft shall reap greatly in the Kingdom to come.
