Tell that to JLA and his sidekick Laz Long, who go out "on patrol" every night on the so-called left-wing threads looking "for action." Show me a post from me from last night on Impeach Bush. The reason the left wing threads are less frequented is because there ain't many of us left on SI. Many have given up the fight because of the Gestapo-like tactics employed by the right-wing extremists, including finding out where these people work, and then sending hateful mail to their employers. Absolute baloney. I am more grateful for your resignation with each post I see.

The reason the left wing threads are less frequented is because ... left wing ideology is a failed enterprise that can't stand on its own. Frankly, I'm surprised that you object to "Gestapo" tactics, since your friends on the left originated it at Watergate and Robert Bork/Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings. There's a Gary Larson Farside Cartoon to illustrate. It features an insect collection, at the center of which is pinned an entomologist. Two bugs look on, admiring the collection. My point: If you can do it to others, they can do it to you. The best response is to turn the other cheek, as taught by Christ. That failing, forgiveness. And if that fails, you have to fight with every thing you've got.
