You are correct regarding the Christian right. However after his trip to NY, it was reported it was the Catholics he was courting. In defense of what you say, they reported that 72% of the Catholics do want funding for the research, however the hierarchy of the church does not. Regardless what sector of religion he is pandering, it does demonstrate that the separation of church and state should not be breached for any reason. Just look at the Mid East and/or Northern Ireland. Fred
