This is a arguement put forth by those mindles rabid gun haters. It's a fair point to say that at some point between rubber-band guns and atomic weapons the government has a legitimate interest in limiting possession of the weapon. That's not asinine, that's pretty obvious. The debate needs to be focused on where that point is and what the criteria for any limits is to be. The guideline for that debate is the second amendment itself and it's rationale for arms, the milita. You think you can control gun grabbers once they get started? Yes, arms control is not an all or nothing proposition. If the only positions ventured are anarchy and total banishment I am sure that banishment will eventually prevail. TP
