Spiders are drawn to water like anything else. I've gone out in the mornings to empty the skimmer baskets and have seen spiders submerged at the bottom and when I dump the basket out they skidder off.

Spiders are also cool to watch just a running over the top of the water.

The spider wasn't very large, just your average size.
