Jeffords went from a nobody in the Republican party, to a two-week media star, to a nobody in the Democrat party. The new Majority Leader he put in with such arrogance has already blown all his incremental political capital. He will now make it easy for Bush to veto pork barrel spending and harvest the legislative victories that come with having the Senate by the short hairs...
