We have some spiders that live underground by the fence with bodies as big as a silver dollar. They have a tendency to come out at night by the back door. One was the side of a trancilla....I can't spell it but ya'll know what I mean. It made Mikey go nuts barking and growling one night. I peeked out the window and say it. Being curious, I opened the door and that chicken dog of mine ran into the other room! Granted the spider was quite intimidating but it was just looking for the small toads and june bugs that congragate at the back door. It also had millions of babies on it's back. I know this because when I pushed it away from the door sill with my slipper, the babies started to scatter. It was something!
