Gas prices above $2.00?? The latest Lund Study says that the most expensive gas in the US now is in Hawaii. Its $1.99 there. I bet you are lying again.

JLA
Cheapest is in Tulsa @ $1.16. I paid $1.42 when in FL. Paid $1.58 in NH this AM.

<<And gasoline prices are sill above $2 in California. >>

and California requires reformulated fuels. You folks did a great deal of this to yourselves, now because you must have power we sell to you and at some level we, of the rest of the west, are providing somewhat of a subsidy to you. Your NIMBY mentality of no new generation plants in the last 40 years YES 40 YEARS in spite of massive growth is the problem. For each possible type of electric generation there is some nut case in CA who protests it. Some want no damming of rivers of streams for hydro for fear of harming fish, many hate nuclear, most despise coal- even our clean burning western coals, some even hate wind for perceived noise or visual problems, yes, some even object to natural gas, & no, none of you want any natural gas drilling in CA.

Get over yourselves & grow up. Yes, grow up. Energy costs money. Generation plants take space and fuel. You want to get right down to truth, truth is the cleanest & or safest energy is always that energy which is produced most near the point of use!

Yes, there should be drilling off the FL shores in the Gulf just as LA & TX, Yes, you should also have oil & gas drilling off your CA shores. At some point we must begin providing a greater % of our own energy needs. Yes, we will need to conserve far more, but conservation does not produce anything. btw , you need grow up also - DO AS I DO & TURN OFF YOUR PILOT!!!!!!!!!! Buy CF lights, A new wtove or fridge! DO YOUR PART - quit whining about the problem & fix it.

btw you want really honest politicians, just say no to career politicians! Draft someone new from each state & district for every Congress person & Senator & President & VP & all the other jobs each term & pay them each $17600 yr + max of 15000 expences, then & only then will we have a more honest government.
