Jim,

There is no chance in hell that I would hold NVLS until the close if I had bought any.

12:07PM Intel (INTC) 28.81 -0.32: -- Update -- There has been lots of trading floor talk today about Intel's capex guidance this afternoon, with some rumors focussing on a supposed call from Banc of America Securities; we're now hearing from sources at B of A that they are stating that their Intel analyst Mark Fitzgerald is not going on CNBC to talk about capex today (as had been rumored), is not forecasting 2002 capex, and is only saying that he continues to believe that Intel will reaffirm 2001 capex guidance of $7.5 bln.

9:42AM Novellus (NVLS) 43.89 -2.48 (-5.3%): -- Update -- Technical -- Gaps sharply lower but holds above support at 43.15 (200 day simple ma, top of April 11 gap). Indicators are deeply oversold but first step to improving the bias is a breach of well defined resistance at 44.75/45 (May/early July lows).

8:03AM Novellus (NVLS) 46.37: -- Update -- After yesterday afternoon's earnings report, Goldman Sachs leaves 2001 EPS estimate unchanged at $1.31 but slashes its 2002 estimate to $0.70 from $1.90 due to reduced orders guidance; stock down to 44 pre-market.
