True I don't have a position in the stock, but I have been long or short several times in the past and have followed this thread for some years. The timing of the post was not related to wanting anyone to do anything with the stock. The only stocks whose movement I care about are those that I have a position in. I would love those to go down but don't see anyway I can influence that. Rather I try to work out which ones I think will go up or down, and take appropriate positions beforehand.

If you think I am trying to influence the price of SUNW thru posting here, then that is ridiculous, especially with a company as large as Sun. I'm here to discuss technology and investments with other people.

To answer Charles Tutt's post previous to yours, I think the market has priced in an expectation of the bottom being in, so such good news from INTC would produce only a short lived bounce. Personally, I think the bottom is not in.

Any good news from INTC would misrepresent the state of affairs. Intel has been suffering from the transition to P4. Now it has its yields sorted and is ramping up clock speed, it may expect stabilisation in its own business. But I would not confuse that with a bottoming in the economy.

INTC, SUNW, MSFT all down after Intel's earnings. INTC down nearly a dollar.

That's what my post about increased fear meant.
