How does the Bar Kochba Revolt denounce the last 1900 years of anti-semitism? When Hadrian (after the revolt) banned circumcision, the sabbath, etc.,--Christian anti-semitism was already on the path that would eventually kill millions of Jews.

MARTIN LUTHER: RAVING GERMAN ANTISEMITE
Many of the most venerated churchmen in history, such as St. Thomas Aquinas, John Chrysostom, St. Augustine, and, among the Protestants, Martin Luther, were openly racist bigots. E.H. Flannery, in his Anguish of the Jews, rightly observes that "some of the greatest names in church history are quoted... as advocating with frightening ferocity the right and even the duty of christians to dislike, hate, and even punish the jews" (qtd. in Brown, Death of the Messiah, 384-385). Luther's hatred of the jews was a particularly militant one. G.A. Wells sums up Luther's position:
"confiscate their literature, burn their synagogues and schools, raze their houses and herd them into communal, supervised settlements, put them to manual labor and abolish safe conduct for them on the highways" (Jesus Legend, 185).
The following quotes are from a little book written by Martin Luther just three years before his death. Hardly a profound spiritual tract, the book reads like crude 19th and 20th century racist propoganda, perhaps KKK literature or a "God hates Fags" sermon by reverend Phelps. It was called
"On the Jews and Their Lies."
"...they {the Jews} remain our daily murderers and bloodthirsty foes in their hearts. Their prayers and curses furnish evidence of that, as do the many stories which relate their torturing of children and all sorts of crimes for which they have often been burned at the stake or banished."

"Therefore be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God and men are practiced most maliciously and veheming his eyes on them."

"...but then eject them forever from this country. For, as we have heard, God's anger with them is so intense that gentle mercy will only tend to make them worse and worse, while sharp mercy will reform them but little. Therefore, in any case, away with them!"

Third, that they be forbidden on pain of death to praise God, to give thanks, to pray, and to teach publicly among us and in our country... Fourth, that they be forbidden to utter the name of God within our hearing. For we cannot with a good conscience listen to this or tolerate it... "
"They [rulers] must act like a good physician who, when gangrene has set in proceeds without mercy to cut, saw, and burn flesh, veins, bone, and marrow. Such a procedure must also be followed in this instance. Burn down their synagogues, forbid all that I enumerated earlier, force them to work, and deal harshly with them, as Moses did... If this does not help we must drive them out like mad dogs."
"He who hears this name [God] from a Jew must inform the authorities, or else throw sow dung at him when he sees him and chase him away."
"If we wish to wash our hands of the Jews' blasphemy and not share in their guilt, we have to part company with them. They must be driven from our country."
