Guidant Corp (GDT) : Company reports Q2 earnings of $0.40 per share, $0.03 better than consensus estimates for $0.37; Q2 revs reported at $656.3 mln vs. consensus est of $641.1 mln; for Q3, GDT expects double-digit sales growth and EPS to meet current analyst estimates of $0.40; for Q4 double-digit sales growth is again expected, with EPS in the range of $0.46-0.48; for 2002, GDT expects EPS in the $1.88-1.93 range resulting from sales exceeding $3.0 bln.

DigitalThink (DTHK) 9.89 +0.60: Reports a Q1 loss of $0.11 a share, $0.02 better than consensus, vs yr-ago loss of $0.18; revenues increased 140% to $15 mln. Company increases fiscal 2002 revenue target range to $60-$65 mln from $55-$60 mln; provides initial fiscal 2003 guidance of $90-$100 mln and EPS of $0.20-$0.30.
