In case no one noticed this piece of accounting mastery:

Intel (INTC) 29.90 +0.77: -- Update -- Company notes that its Q2 earnings were boosted by a penny due to a downward revision of its 2001 tax rate to 25.7% from 29.8%; without the benefit of the lower tax rate, Intel's EPS would have been in line with the consensus. Stock reverses initial gains, now trading at 29.25, off 0.65 from 4 pm.

Heinz, nothing to be exasperated about. Overlay the US market with the 1990-91 Japanese market and the overall trend (including current "rally") looks pretty similar to me!

I think one more reversal off the S&P500 200 day MA ought to be a good start to a new wave down...

After that...well, we'll see...

Actually I hope it stays this way, if not i'll have to spend more time in real casino's.

Heinz, I spent a little time reading about the k long wave cycle but will have to go back to it. I can see deflationary components due to there always being a lo cost producer exploiting powerless populace whereever... but then again with humongous $$ glut, it would seem that would introduce inflationary components..so can I come up with a simultaneous double k-wave,hottzy inflation wave & get credit after I bankrupt & perish?
regards
