JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli military officials said the army had begun to send infantry and armored reinforcements to the West Bank overnight on Wednesday after an escalation in 10 months of Israeli-Palestinian violence.

The move came after a day of tit-for-tat violence in which Israeli helicopter gunships killed four activists of the militant Hamas group and Palestinians launched their first West Bank mortar bomb attacks since violence erupted in September.

Israeli Channel One television reported that the infantry and armored units would deploy on the borders of Palestinian-ruled areas in case a deterioration in the situation forced Israel to recapture the territories.

``At this time, the Israeli army is mobilizing infantry and armored vehicles to the Judea and Samaria area (the West Bank) in light of today's flagrant violation of the cease-fire and the launching of two mortar shells toward the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo,'' the military officials told Reuters.>> end quote

AJ: EMC - The word that most defines this market is "could" right now. I don't think we will see EMC at $10, but I am not counting out $15. Either way, I am going to start buying here any day ... not a lot, but just picking up a few shares to stick away.
