Sent my guess, Chris, FWIW. I hope you post tonight the new Naz chart you mentioned. Your charts are always so clear and to the point.

Lots of earnings out tomorrow: EMC, AOL, IBM, AMCC, BRCM, TYC, MUSE, UAL, UTX, U, NYT, etc.

Should be interesting.

I love the headlines for the INTC's abysmal report: "INTC beats expectations." "INTC beats Street." No matter that earnings were down more than 90 percent (including all the acquisition charges). And the lead paragraphs are interesting, too, for example: "Intel beat earnings expectations during the second quarter, as the microprocessor business did better than expected and executives reiterated their belief the business is returning to seasonal patterns."

Okay. .... I guess it's all about spin nowadays, in politics and business. What we need next are pro forma vote counts, so the losers can take office. (Oh, wait -- that's been done already.) How about pro forma brokerage reports that don't count losses?
