I certainly would not be buying the OSX here and now. But low enough so that it is worth watching IMHO.

["BTW, since the OSX is the perfect example of what a cyclical downturn of an equity sector looks like, it's a good model for what the homebuilders will do once it's perceived that "the top is in"... "]

...Patron;

I like the way you think.

BINGO ~ on shorting the homebuilders - I have an intial entry short here & pray for another significant upleg move to "lay on".

This is a classic contrarian-contrarian's play - the textbook case play for "trading the traders" - which is one of my favorite plays...

The Money Flow's as well as the "players" in the Homebuilding Sector are very predictable... they buy them at the end of a rate hike cycle - and they'll sell them at the end of the rate cut cycle.

The play is setting up "claymore" PUTS all in front of that exit door trail - as the end of the rate cut cycle is close at hand... this is one of the near "free money" trading opps that I see.

I also think beginning to go "long" into the Airline sector on any & all further downside legs is a great "arb/hedge" to the short the Homebuilders play - as the upside to the Airline stocks on a longsided play will imho; more than offset any downside if I miss on the "short side" on the Homebuilders and the economy continues to expand and/or rates continue lower.

Actually I think the timing is near perfect to hit both near perfectly here - as energy prices as falling hard and the airline stocks aren't reacting positively & probably haven't even bottomed yet - giving us a little edge.
