it sure is weird. mufu liquidity according to trimtabs is back at the levels of last September...so there's a lot less sidelines moolah 'waiting to jump in' than the bulls would have us believe. the often mentioned surge in money market fund assets mirrors the growth in liabilities these assets represent. the ratio of debt growth vs. underlying economic growth has worsened even more, since the former continues virtually unabated, while the latter can't get off the mat. the historically extreme mismatch between the size of the financial economy (iow, the debt mountain) is growing to even bigger extremes by the day....only a question of time before this thing finally tips over and money supply growth goes into reverse imo.
