Hang in thereI have seen how INS treats immigrants now here in Florida. First time there after getting in line outside at 4.00AM for opening of office at 7:30, saw someone who did not get to the counter within maybe 10 seconds because His interpreter was late. INS agent said NEXT, come back Tomorrow. When I got up there with all financial documents, photo album and letter from my employer the same agent could not have been nicer when she saw I was a Physical Therapist as her daughter was trying to get in PT school. That's total BS and discrimination! That was over 4 years ago and it is worse now here.

REally sorry to hear about your ordeal Taki. America needs as many like you as we can get.

Unfortunately, INS thinks it is above the law. It's a disgrace to this country.

I've heard of several sorry incidents first hand. All I can say is please finish this horrible process and be done with it and move on.

A couple of Letter's to the Editor of your local newspapers can help raise awareness of this issue perhaps help others in the future.

Peter

You might be better off restarting your application in Seattle. A smaller city is usually easier to process apps. I still have a copy of a letter I wrote to Reagan in the mid-80's complaining about the process. I'm sure it was his deciding factor when he signed the INS Act of 1986...(g)

And... how about those who where recruited from abroad for high tech jobs (with H-1B Visas) and got caught in the bubble...?
