You are absolutely wrong. Government runs in the background for most people. Religion rules the choices of many people. IT gnaws out their guts and prevents them (in the case I presented to you) from escaping horrific abuse.

I knew the woman I spoke about. She had FU-- ALL to say about the Government. You do not need to take over her interpretations or words. Your suggestion that people can simply leave their religion is a smug remark. They can also leave their wife, their husband, their country, and their life. But which of those burdens do they need to toss? It seems to me that Government (in your neck of the woods) is the smallest pebble in the shoe.

Of course, if you want to assert that Government had more emotional impact on her than her conversations with her priest--be my guest. Enjoy wisdom while you have it. Tomorrow it may be gone.
