Now think of this: The American Revolution is not really relevant to current gun control debates. A closer parallel would be the Civil War since it included a domestic army and ranger companies and the like. Guess who would have been the criminals? Tom Paine, George Washington, Tom Paine was known as a gun toting person, he was a writer. While Washington did have a sharp sword it is doubtful that he carried a musket very often. Methinks you are engaged in rhetoric instead of thought. TP
