If I recall correctly 75-77 somewhere back in there. Hmm... FWIW 1976 was the last time the Loonie was worth more than the Greenback.

Where property remains inflated and there is an increase in unemployed people. Now there is the rub, People allowed to be here with-in the law will be more likely to travel & some relocate, some to more rural areas which also have a large Hispanic population base.. Your CA housing may decrease in cost at the lower edge , but also might increase toward the top end of the scale. This is already visible. We are in nation that sanctions human rights and here is where the problems could start. The government here offers decent paying jobs for menial skill labor but private industry is not the government they can't operate profitably on deficit base. What this amounts to is the work level for the highly skilled in certain areas will condense and long term a heavy possibility that social structure will come to arms against capitalism neither seeing nor understanding what happened or why but only the plight of their future. Again i think of Perot who i feel saw things very clearly if he did not offer the public bedroom eyes and advertisement quality leadership he stated the fact the US would find itself in a position of very little competitive power due to currency. That to me means long range a higher poverty level until you can afford to offer more for less. About the only advantage any nation has now in my opinion is their ag ability. The field is day by day far more level than it has ever been this soft landing could be around for years.
