From Fleck:
<<<Write On The Blackboard 100 Times: 'No Back-To-School Build-Up' At the moment, there are no indications of a big back-to-school build-up taking place in Asia, which is by and large where the products would be getting assembled. To try to promote a back-to-school fantasy cycle is going to be a stretch, even for the super-optimists at Intel. And it's likely that Intel may admit that if things stay crummy, it will have to cut its cap-ex budget. So, it would seem to me that the table is set for Intel to be slightly disappointing to tech bulls. Even the best that Intel could say should not be enough to rally the troops. After all, it's trading at north of 50 times the estimates for next year, and those will likely prove to be too high in the first place. After seeing what Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) just said, how can anyone really expect much out of Intel? Intel will clearly set the tone tonight, and we have a handful of other chip companies reporting as well. In any case, that's what the first few hours looked like, and those were some of the motives potentially dominating the trading. >>>

Sure. What do you REALLY need P4 for anyway? Video games? Hell, I've got more of that $hit around the house than I need anyway. Frankly I got more computer $hit than I need, too, and so does most of the people I talk to and most of the business owners I deal with. Someone needs a computer for school? Fine, PIII or Athlon will do more than everything needed (and a used one will be fine, thanks Ma!)
