I usually use Netscape for mail, too, although I sometimes use Eudora (particularly when I encounter a pathological e-mail that Netscape chokes on -- Eudora has some additional flexibility in handling such things). I don't know what you mean about the "add display." Do they put ads up now? They don't in the version I have.

Netscape is available on Solaris, too. There's also "mail" and many others on Unix in general. I think StarOffice has a mail component as well. But I haven't tried them all.

There's even a version of IE for Solaris, but not on the X86 platform as far as I know.

I'm hoping the consumer "lobsters" wake up and jump out of the pan before they're cooked.
