Paul, Not according to Intel !! And Intel has ALL THE NUMBERS !! I think you are again making a mistake in believing in the integrity of Intel and it's spokesmen. Their numbers don't add up. If they do, please explain them to me. I think both, Intel and AMD are no better than Clinton Whitehouse IMO, as far as their credibility is concerned. I am not just talking about the statements from last 2 weeks, but in general. On this particular point of marketshare, I believe AMD and not Intel, since the Intel statements are not even internally consistent, forget consistent with external information (AMD data, market research estimates).
