>NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Food-service giant Aramark filed to raise up to $154 million in an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Philadelphia-based company bills itself as a leader in providing food and support services, uniform and career apparel, and child care and early education programs.

It plans to trade under the symbol "RMK."

The company posted 2000 sales of about $7.3 billion and net income of approximately $168 million, with a growth rate of 12.8 percent in annual operating income, adjusted to exclude two divested units.

Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan are serving as joint book-running managers.
