I understand your position -- in fact, I understand both positions. Both have been trumpeted ad nauseum by many, many fanatics on both sides of the issue.

IMO, there is merit on both sides.

So the bottom line is, what are the consequences if either side prevails but turns out to have been wrong.

If the pro-life side prevails but turns out to have been wrong, then people will be born who otherwise would have been aborted, and some women who didn't want to bear babies will be forced to do so, to the detriment of their quality of life but not of their lives.

If the pro-abortion side prevails but turns out to have been wrong, millions of children, people, will have been killed. Murdered.

Given that choice, since there is really no way to prove which "side" is right, I go with the decision that, if wrong, will have the lesser consequences.
